🚆 GETTING HERE & WHERE TO STAY

Coming from the DC area? The easiest and most stress-free way to get to New York is via Amtrak from Union Station — trains run frequently throughout the day and drop you right at Penn Station/Moynihan Train Hall in Midtown Manhattan. From there, hop on the A or C subway line to Brooklyn and you'll be at AgX Brooklyn, located at 75 Stewart Ave, Suite 105, Brooklyn, NY 11237 in no time.

For accommodations, staying in Brooklyn puts you closest to the action — look into hotels in Williamsburg or Downtown Brooklyn for a great mix of convenience and NYC energy. If you prefer Manhattan, Midtown options near Penn Station make for an easy commute.

🌅 GOLDEN HOUR ADD-ON — GETTING TO DUMBO

If you're joining us for the evening Golden Hour session at Brooklyn Bridge Park, getting to DUMBO is easy from anywhere in NYC. From Manhattan, hop on the A/C train toward Brooklyn and exit at High Street — you'll be steps from DUMBO in about 10–15 minutes. From Brooklyn, the F train to York Street drops you right in the neighborhood. Prefer a rideshare? Roughly 10–20 minutes depending on traffic. Once in DUMBO, Brooklyn Bridge Park is just a short 9-minute walk — and trust us, the views make it worth every step.

We Are PMDC

We are a creative community based in the DMV, dedicated to organizing and hosting events that provide a platform for growth, connection, and opportunity.

Through every experience we create, we aim to elevate each creative we meet. Whether you're a photographer refining your craft or a model building your portfolio — there's a place for you here.

Season 9 runs March through November 2026 with nine monthly themed meets. Each month brings a new creative challenge, a new location, and a new opportunity to push your boundaries.

PMDC Studio Day NYC Co-Host: Carl Chisolm

Meet our NYC co-host, Carl Chisolm (@carlchisolm) — a New York–based photographer and artist whose practice bridges commercial and fine art photography. Working primarily through portraiture, he creates carefully crafted images that explore identity, presence, and the relationship between subject and viewer. Drawing on years in commercial photography, he pairs refined lighting with a cinematic use of color and composition — moving between editorial commissions, commercial campaigns, and personal projects. Come create alongside him at AgX Brooklyn on July 18.

Meet our guest photographer, Jazzmin Easley (@shotbyjazzmin) — a versatile photographer and community motivator who believes in uplifting every creator around her. Her philosophy is simple: “Keep shooting.” Whether you’re stepping into a commercial studio for the first time or leveling up your skills, her energy and openness to every style of photography is exactly the vibe we’re bringing to July 18.

Meet TMIDD (@tmidd_) — photographer, filmmaker, YouTube content creator, and community builder, and one of the DMV’s own. He creates with purpose, and that’s exactly the energy we’re bringing to New York. Whether you’re leveling up your craft or just want to be in the room where it happens, come shoot alongside him in one of NYC’s premier studio spaces on July 18.

Meet Holly Ahrens

Holly has been modeling throughout the DMV since 2017. After attending her first PortraitMeet in February 2020, she found a creative community that quickly felt like home. Through her work, she strives to create visually compelling images that tell a story, with a particular passion for incorporating movement and dynamic posing to bring photographs to life.

Beyond modeling, Holly is an artist, avid runner, horror enthusiast, Aries, mother, and wife who embraces life with enthusiasm and curiosity. She is honored to be this month's featured model and is excited to create and collaborate with the PMDC community.

Join us as we chase golden light along the Georgetown waterfront and create images filled with movement, storytelling, and summer energy.
